Real Peru Holidays

About the Real Peru Holiday Company

We are part of RealWorld Holidays - a travel company with a difference, started by people who have been to Peru, visited Machu Picchu, flown over the Nazca Lines, explored the Amazon jungle and... fallen in love with it! Now we want to share it with as many people as possible!

We saw the prices being charged (and the services being offered) by many British companies and realised that we could do better. We believe we can not only provide better holidays in Peru than our competitors, but that we can usually do so at a lower price! We believe that Peru is becoming one of the most popular long-haul destinations for British travellers and so we hope that by providing a quality service at a reasonable price our customers will recommend us to others and we can become the leading UK operator to Peru.

ATOL bonded Peru holidays

However, we don't compromise on the quality of our service or on your protection as a customer, and we are fully ATOL bonded so the air holiday packages shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL 10332.

We want to provide a service to all those people who want to really get to know the country, instead of sitting in a tour bus taking pictures through the window! Because all our trips are totally tailormade, we hope to give you the freedom of independent travel but with all the hassle and worry removed - you tell us what you like and we organise as much, or as little, as you want.

The specialists for holidays in Peru

As you'll notice, we specialise in Peru! We only like to talk about what we know and so we don't claim to be experts on every South American country - we think our expert local knowledge makes the difference between visiting Peru and visiting the Real Peru... Although we also work with experts in neighbouring countries such as Bolivia and Ecuador, and we can arrange extensions in these countries to your holiday in Peru, we really want to concentrate on making sure you get the very best out of this magical country. We're not interested in just whisking you around the major sites with a clipboard and a tick-list; we want you to come back feeling Peruvian!

Our Ethical Policies

Ethical Peru holidays

Of course, Peru is still a developing country and tourism in itself is an important industry, Unfortunately not all companies have our strict ethical standards. Wherever possible we use only Peruvian suppliers and partners and all the hotels we recommend are locally-owned and run so you can be sure that the money you spend is going right back into this wonderful country.

As part of our commitment to responsible travel, we are a member of Sustainable Travel International, one of the leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to building awareness, appreciation and respect for local people and our environment through education and outreach work.

We also make sure that all our partners and suppliers in Peru abide by our own code of conduct. For example, when you trek the Inca Trail with us you can be sure that your porters are not only treated and paid correctly but that they also benefit from health and education programmes which ensure that their rights and interests are properly looked after.

Press coverage of Real Peru

We are delighted to have worked with some of the UK's leading travel journalists and in recent years we have received coverage in newspapers such as the Guardian, the Independent and the Sunday Times, as well as featuring on BBC Online, and several other national magazines and websites. If you'd like to see some of our press coverage, then just let us know.
