In general, the weather in Peru is divided
into three climatic zones: the coast, the mountains, and the
rain forest. The dry season in the mountains is from May to
October, with clear, cold nights and bright, dry days; the wet
season is milder but, unsurprisingly, wet! In the jungle, you
can expect rain and humid heat pretty much all year. In
addition to this, the coast around Lima is covered with a sort
of mist, the garrua, throughout winter (June,
July, August, September) but is warm and dry the rest of the
year whereas the north coast, due to its proximity to the
equator, stays cloud-free and warm all year!
