Wanting to trek the Inca Trail as part of your Peru holiday this year? Well, you'd better hurry: passes for the Inca Trail this year are going really quickly! Permits for July, August and September have all gone and many days in October are now down to single figures. Even traditionally unfashionable times for trekking the famous trail to Machu Picchu are starting to get filled up...
Please be aware that this isn't something just affecting RealPeru - all companies are in a similar position as all permits for the Inca Trail can only be applied for in the name of the person wishing to do the trek so companies can no longer bulk buy in advance. That said, we can sometimes get our hands on the coveted permits even after the official quotas have been filled by picking up cancellations but you want to guarantee your trek to Machu Picchu this year then get in touch with us and let us know as soon as possible - we'd hate you to be disappointed!
If we are unable to secure a permit for the exact dates you want then we can always offer plenty of alternatives to the 'classic' Inca Trail. There are treks that also end up at Machu Picchu such as the less travelled but in many ways more exciting route through the Sacred Valley via Salkantay, or something completely different like our 'pre-Inca Trail' to the Chachapoyas fortress of Kuelap - see our special offers section for details.
