Those of you interested in trekking as part of your Peru holiday should be aware that the current weather conditions in the central Andes are a little unsettled this year.
The trekking in this area is very weather dependent and the area effectively closes down from November to April. Although we are solidly into the dry season now, which is normally the best time for trekking in the Cordillera Blanca and the Cordillera Huayhuash, there have been several days of rain in the past week which have made trekking dangerous and climbing impossible.
We will, of course, monitor this situation so we can give you the best possible advice for your trekking holiday in Peru!
