If you'd like to include Brazil on your Peru holiday then you'll be pleased to hear that LAN are to begin flying a direct route between Lima and Foz do Iguazu, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. A trip to Foz means a trip to the fabulous Iguazu Falls and it is well worth considering, with the waterfalls rivalling the Niagara Falls and the Victoria Falls. The falls, nestled in protected forests, really are one of South America’s most impressive natural wonders and are a great way to extend your Peru holiday.
There was more good flight news this week as well, as some new flight routes announced today offer great savings, as well as opening up new routes to see some of the best sites South America has to offer. TACA, Peru’s budget airline, announced the opening of three new routes; Lima-Juliaca, Lima-Tarapoto and Lima-Trujillo. With flights to Juliaca, those looking to visit Lake Titicaca whilst in Peru have a quick and cheap option of getting there from Lima. Flights to Tarapoto and Trujillo serve to further open up the North of Peru, an area neglected, though no less impressive than the more obvious tourist destinations in the south.
