As a holiday destination, Peru has gained a lot of international recognition since we first began operating as a company over six years ago but, as we all know, it is hard to get tired of praise so that's why the news this month has brought a smile to all our faces!
First of all came the news that Machu Picchu had been chosen as the number one destination in the whole of South America by the readers and contributors of TripAdvisor, the internet travel forum. Further proof, if anyone needed it, that Machu Picchu should be on everyone's "must-see" list.
Then, in this month's edition of Travel + Leisure magazine, we learned that Cusco had been placed among the 10 most important cities in the WORLD, and that the fabulous Monasterio hotel (Cusco) and Inkaterra Pueblo hotel (Machu Picchu) had both been awarded placings in the magazine's 100 best hotels in the world list. To anyone who has stayed in either of these hotels, this won't be surprising: we regularly have customers telling us they are the best hotels they have EVER stayed in!
