Sample Itinerary
Day One - Into the jungle
After breakfast this morning, we will give you a quick tour of Iquitos on your way to the riverside docks. We will then begin our twenty-five mile journey down the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops, where rooms with air conditioning and private bathrooms provide the comforts of home in the rainforest. We will then have an afternoon hike in the beautiful primary rainforest reserve surrounding the lodge. After dinner there’s plenty of time to sit around and enjoy some of the local music, or some of the guides’ tall tales...
Day Two - Ceiba Tops
An early breakfast this morning, and then out onto the river for a morning boat ride, spotting for dolphins. Then we will visit a small village of Yagua Indians where your guide will explain the local Yagua Indian culture and how it was affected by the arrival of Europeans and the passing of time. There will also be an opportunity to see some of the local crafts and for a demonstration of the blowgun which some of the Yagua elders still use for hunting. Afternoon walking excursion through the rainforest to the neighbouring settlement of Indiana. Originally a Franciscan mission, Indiana has grown into a large river community with its own market, high school and small hospital.
Day Three - Last Day on the Amazon
This morning you can choose between another walking trip out into the jungle around the lodge or a boating excursion to further enjoy the rainforest and Amazon River. Then, after lunch, we will take you by boat back to Iquitos to catch a flight back to Lima.

Our price for the sample 3-day itinerary given here is £500 per person including flights to/from Iquitos. This price is based on two people sharing a double or twin room and includes all the following:

- All transfers
- All meals at Ceiba Tops
- Flights Lima-Iquitos-Lima
- All entrance fees
- All activities while at Ceiba Tops
