Peru's jungle lodges: your home in the heart of the rainforest

jungle lodges in Peru

Peru's Amazon rainforest is one of the last great wildernesses on earth, and is a haven for countless species of birds, mammals and other animals, many of which remain undiscovered to this day. Although we offer expedition-style trips where you trek and camp your way through the Amazon, most people prefer to have something a little more comfortable and we also work with a range of supern jungle lodges in Peru.

There are 3 huge national parks in Peru's Amazon jungle, each bigger than many European countries! In the north, the Pacaya-Samiria reserve lies close to the city of Iquitos - the traditional base for jungle trips in Peru - while in the south of the country, the Manu and Tambopata reserves are a little less-visited and for our money offer the best jungle experiences. Have a look at the range of Peru jungle lodges below to find one that suits you, and remember: we can include them in any of our Peru holidays!

One of our favourite lodges, on the banks of a beautiful oxbow lake deep in the Tambopata Reserve, Sandoval Lodge offers comfort and great wildlife experiences with easy access to Puerto Maldonado, so it fits easily into any of our Peru holiday itineraries. Click here for more

Posada Amazonas Posada Amazonas

Just downriver from Sandoval, the Posada Amazonas is very similar in terms of accommodation and comfort. The lodge is half-owned by the local Ese-eja community, and is one of the best examples of sustainable tourism in Peru. Click here for more
